Notarizing a UAE Document From Outside the UAE
You own property here, or hold a company here, or have a matter here — and you are somewhere else. Something needs to be signed, and the assumption is that you have to come.
You do not.
We coordinate the whole process remotely: identifying the right document, preparing it, arranging certified translation, and coordinating its notarization with a licensed private notary. Your verification with the notary is completed by video call.
And your location does not change the price.
The published price is the same whether you are in Dubai, in Sharjah, or ten thousand kilometres away. There is no overseas surcharge, no "international handling", and no separate rate.

Identity verification is completed with the notary by video call — you do not attend in person.
An Emirates ID is not always required. Notarization through Dubai Courts requires a valid Emirates ID. Other routes accept a passport instead. Which route applies depends on your situation, the emirate, and the document itself.
This is exactly where most people lose time: starting down a route their situation does not qualify for, and finding out after they have paid.

Your location does not change the price. It is the same whether you are in Dubai, in Sharjah, or outside the country entirely.
Working across time zones
Our hours are Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm UAE time. If you are eight hours behind, that is the middle of your night.
So most of this does not need you to be awake at the same time we are:
- Messaging, your quote, your document list, payment and delivery all work by WhatsApp and email, in your own time
- The only appointment is the video verification with the notary — one call, scheduled around you
- You do not need to call us. If a phone conversation is difficult across the time difference, everything can be handled in writing

If your document will be used outside the UAE
A document notarized here is issued for use in the UAE. If it also has to be recognised by an authority in another country, it usually needs attestation as well.
Attestation is a separate step, carried out by different bodies — the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the embassy or consulate of the country where the document will be used. We do not perform attestation, and it is not included in the notarization price.
What we can do is arrange it for you on request, so you are not managing it yourself from another country.
The cost and the timeline depend on the destination country and the authorities involved, so it is quoted separately once we know where the document is going. Tell us the country at the start and we will confirm what is involved before you commit to anything.
Your notarization price and turnaround do not change. Attestation runs after it, as a separate step with its own timeline.
What we will ask you for
- Passport copy of the person granting the authority
- Emirates ID, if you hold one — required on some routes, not on others
- Passport copy — and full legal name — of the person being authorised
- What exactly you want that person to be able to do
- Where you are, and the time zone
- Which country the document will be used in, if not only the UAE
Documents can be sent as photographs or files. Paper originals are not needed at this stage.
Names must match exactly across your passport and any UAE document the matter concerns — a title deed, a trade licence, a case file. A mismatch is one of the most common reasons a document is rejected, and it is much easier to address before submission than after.

Each includes one principal, one attorney and one translated page. Each additional translated page — AED 150. Each additional principal, attorney or property — AED 300.
No overseas surcharge exists. The number we confirm to you in writing is the number you pay.

Processed through official UAE systems
Your document is notarized by a licensed private notary through the official judicial systems in the UAE — Dubai Courts, the Ministry of Justice, or the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department. Nuhuj coordinates the process; the notarization is performed by the licensed notary.
Frequently asked questions
Can I really notarize a UAE document without coming to the UAE?
Yes. Verification with the notary is completed by video call, and everything else is handled by message and email. It is one of the most common reasons people use us.
Do I need an Emirates ID?
Not always. Notarization through Dubai Courts requires a valid Emirates ID. Other routes accept a passport. Which one applies depends on your situation, the emirate and the document — tell us and we will confirm exactly what is needed, and the exact price, before you pay anything.
Does it cost more because I am abroad?
No. The published price is the same regardless of your location. There is no overseas rate.
Do I need to send original documents by courier?
Not to get started. Photographs or scans are enough for us to confirm your document list and your price.
How do I pay from another country?
You can pay in AED, US dollars or euros. Tell us which you prefer and we will send payment details with your written quote — there is no currency conversion surprise and no separate overseas fee.
What if I cannot get on a call during UAE hours?
Tell us your time zone at the start. Everything except the verification call can be done in writing, and we will schedule that one call around you.
How long does it take?
1–2 working days from the moment we have all your documents. Attestation, if you need it, runs after that as a separate step with its own timeline.
Will the document be accepted where I live?
Inside the UAE, it is notarized through the official system by a licensed private notary. If it also needs to be recognised abroad, that usually requires attestation — tell us the country at the start.
